MRO Tracker: A Student Project Answering a Real Search and Rescue Need

A student project that answers a real need in search and rescue. That's what we saw today at their final defense.

For several months, three Master 1 MIAGE students from Université Côte d'Azur worked on a concrete operational challenge: building a tool to support SAR coordination centers during Mass Rescue Operations (MRO).

We attended their final defense. The result went beyond what we expected. What they delivered isn't a mockup. It's a working application, modern, well structured, ready to be used by a rescue center facing a large-scale operation. A real starting point.

Congratulations to Ranim Mehatla, Constantin Costea and Yassin Hattab for their commitment and the quality of their work throughout the project.

Thanks as well to the teaching team at Université Côte d'Azur for their trust, and for making this meeting between academia and the field possible. These are the collaborations, built on real use cases, that move things forward.
