Global SAR Hub was not born in a software company.
It was born in an operations room.
That was the message our co-founders Tanguy Le Coq and Arthur Barbier brought to Kuala Lumpur yesterday, for day one of iSAR 2026.
They spoke in Plenary Session 2 on SAR Technology, alongside Captain Jerzy Kiszczak (Polish Maritime Search and Rescue Service) and Professor Nazery Khalid (Universiti Malaysia Terengganu), moderated by Commodore Anil Jai Singh.
A full session on AI, digital coordination and the tools of tomorrow.
With one conclusion every speaker converged on. Technology supports the decision. It never makes it.
Our co-founders walked the room through the suite.
CLEAR406, to decode COSPAS-SARSAT messages without error under pressure. An AI trained to read the message, not to think for you.
SARCHAT, our WhatsApp for Search and Rescue. Messaging, mapping, translation, SITREPs, unit tracking, all in one place.
SARDRIFT, Monte Carlo drift modelling, with the operator free to override the environmental data whenever local knowledge beats the model.
SRU MANAGER, to know in one glance which asset is available and where.
And GSH Academy, because a tool without training saves nobody.
All of it built by people who have stood the watch.
Second highlight of the day. Tanguy and Arthur received their IASARC Search and Rescue Communicator & Dispatcher certification. #0001 for Tanguy, #0002 for Arthur. Handed over in person by Matthew Mitchell, CEM and Jamie Stirling.
A real milestone for a serving MRCC watch officer and a former one.
The thread running through the whole day comes down to one line.
You cannot do SAR on your own. Share the information, share the knowledge, meet people, shake hands.
Thank you to Major Murali Bhaskaran RMAF (Rtd) and the iSAR team.
Day 2 underway.
