Day Three at iSAR 2026: On the Flight Line with RMAF

SAR demonstration and static display at RMAF Subang during iSAR 2026
The last day of iSAR 2026 was not spent in a conference room. It was spent on a flight line.

Our co-founders Tanguy Le Coq and Arthur Barbier had the pleasure of being welcomed at Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Subang for the SAR demonstration and static display.

Aircraft, crews, equipment, and the people who operate them. The part of SAR you cannot understand from a slide deck.

Thank you to our Malaysian friends for opening the doors of some genuinely impressive facilities.

The conversations on the tarmac were as valuable as the visit itself.

Royal Malaysian Air Force. Oil and gas operators. Delegations from India, Indonesia and beyond.

Plenty of good things ahead from those exchanges.

And that closes our trip to Malaysia.

Three days that confirmed something we already believed. In search and rescue, borders do not hold. Neither does politics. Neither does anything else people usually let get in the way.

Put an air force navigator, a fire officer, an NGO rescuer and a watch officer in the same room and they will find common ground in about ten seconds. Because the goal is the same everywhere. Saving lives.

We saw it again this week with our own eyes.

Thank you once more to Major Murali Bhaskaran RMAF (Rtd) for making this visit possible, and for everything else.

See you at the next one.
